Reid’s Handbook to Newcastle upon Tyne

This is a hand drawn image of what industry and the Quay itself was like in the 1800s. It features people dressed in period clothing by the side of the river with trade boxes of goods and huge anchors indicating that there was lots of big ships carrying big trade across the Tyne. Little boats were coming up and down the Tyne for smaller trade.
